Sly & The Family Stone are one of my all-time favs - I've been trying to find some footage for ages, so glad someone was kind enough to stick it on the net. Makes me think, what happened to music ...

Thought I'd do a double post to make up for my laziness.
Best magazine I've ever bought - so good i subscribed.
Waxpoetics. Thanks MJ.

Kinda forgot I had a blog. It's been way too long between posts.
About time i linked to one of my fav illustrators - James Jean.
His skills are so good it's silly.

Found info and pics on the bar I used to dj at in Takatsuki - JK Bird - really cool place. The manager, Chiaki, is a easy going guy with good taste in music. Let me play whatever I wanted (funk, rare groove, jungle, deep house, future jazz etc.) as long as it had a good bassline. They have bands upstairs on saturdays and he helps organise the annual Takatsuki Jazz festival which has become quite popular. Look forward to going back for a visit one day.

Have been looking around for some nice retro type guitar effects. Came across a great site offering DIY effects kits - buildyourownclone.com.

The Oklahoma Full Auto Shoot & Trade Show - good to see responsible parents taking their kids to give them important life skills in how to use a very large automatic weapon. Better than putt-putt golf any day.

An old fav - Blentwell. Been so long I can't remember who put me on to it.
Found another promising link from there - downtownsounds.org.
Has some mixes from one of the guys from Metro Area. Yet to listen to it ... but looks promising.

I'm not a big fav of pop music but there are always exceptions - a well written song is a well written song, as long as it's not country music. That's my excuse for liking some of Bonnie Pink's tunes, that and she's got a good voice. (... and she's cute, from the research I've done - shallow i know.)

www.airliners.net is a great image bank for all things aero. Found a rundown by a German passenger (aero enthusist?) of his domestic flight experience in Japan. Some interesting details noted.

Found interesting (strange) North Korean instructional dance video. A must see for any budding dancer.
